Summary: Aseptic tank is a buffer tank between UHT and one or more fillers. The
products don't need to flow back to UHT when aseptic tank is used in the line, then
avoid repeated heating, which will ensure final product quality. And filler could be
stable supplied, so it could run under full load. It also could shorten the UHT running
time and decrease utilities consumption.
This fully automated aseptic tank is available as a separate unit or as a component in
UHT line solution, with guaranteed performance.
Configurations
Product feed through aseptic valve block from UHT
CIP cleaning available
Cooling water system is used for cooling after tank sterilization
Compressed air system with filter and aseptic filter used to maintain
constant aseptic positive pressure in the tank
Steam system supply steam and aseptic condensate water
barriers, also for system sterilization
Working principle
The aseptic tank is sterilized by steam at a minimum temperature of 125°C for 30 minutes. It is then cooled by water circulating through the
cooling jacket. During cooling, sterile air is fed into the tank to prevent vacuum formation.
During production, sterile air fills the tank space above the product level. The pressure is automatically controlled to maintain the feed
pressure required by the filling machine in operation.
As option, the aseptic tank can be equipped with an agitator. This is recommended for products that can separate in the tank during storage
(e.g. chocolate milk and juice with fibres) and to even out the product temperature.
Full automatic control.
During production a condensate water barrier is applied to protect the product from recontamination.
Optional CIP or center CIP cleaning both available.
